Andy Hanau
City Auditor, City of San Diego
Andy Hanau joined the City of San Diego Office of the City Auditor (OCA) in 2011, and has served as San Diego City Auditor since 2020. During Andy’s tenure as City Auditor, OCA has won three Knighton Awards for audits of Major Building Acquisitions (2021), Police Body Cameras (2022) and Brush Management (2023). Prior to joining OCA, Andy was a land use planner for the City of San Diego, the City of Los Angeles, and the City of Santa Monica. Andy holds a B.A. in Political Science from UC San Diego and an M.P.P. from UCLA, and is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.
