Steve Flaherty

Steve Flaherty is the Director of Audits at the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability (DPA), where he leads audits on police use of force, First Amendment-related investigations, and the handling of police misconduct. He was DPA's first audit hire, establishing the department's audit function. Previously, Steve served as Associate Director at the City and County of San Francisco's Office of the Controller's City Services Auditor. He holds a BA in Business-Economics from UC Santa Barbara and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Fraud Examiner.
